I have been recently been thinking about how easy it is to get stuck or intimidated by big or difficult tasks in our lives. Whether physical, emotional, or intellectual, people often are overwhelmed by hard things. Once able to get past a stuck point, the feeling of accomplishment and ability to do it faster the next time will be amazing. Rather than staying stuck or quitting when a task becomes too hard, here are some ideas to make it through to the other side.
- Break things down into smaller pieces. If the list you are looking at is overwhelming and you are unsure where to start, pick a few items and make a new list with each put into smaller steps.
- Do some research. The internet is a giant place for discovery. Google is your friend and there are many user friendly Youtube videos that will walk you through every step of your need.
- Consult an expert. There are probably many amazing resources right near you for getting the information you need to get through your hard task. If it is something concrete, find a professional to walk you through the process. You might even find some free guidance! Ask a person you know who has made it through a similar trial. They may give you the insight you need to weather the storm!
Lastly, just remember to breathe. You can do hard things!
